Senior Life - Part I
Many of the photographs I take also document my life - particularly senior year this year. The people, the events, the things I love... Everything! It's all a part of...
Senior Year.

Little Bits of Nature
I like nature. It brings beauty to the world.
These two pictures I took 09/10 school year, on color film. I only recently had the film developed.

This picture is of a tree outside my home. I was laying in the grass one day and noticed how the lower branches were still green while the ones towards the top were already changing colors. I liked it, so I felt it was completely necessary to take a picture.

The People of My Life - 09/10
I recently found some of my film from last year. I took it to get developed, and these are some pictures I found of the people of my life from the past school year. Obviously, these are not all of the pictures, but the few selected.

My Random Photoshop Fun...
I was bored in class one day.. Well, a couple days. So I looked online to find some quotes, and created these:
You Light Up My World
I Don't Think You Love Me Anymore
When Love is Not Madness it is Not Love
Being deeply loved by someone gives you Strength
While loving someone deeply gives you Courage
Hope you like them!!

A Little Bit of Re-designing
Well, I've decided to do a tad bit of re-designing to my page... The layout and the background. The background is an image of my lovely viola, taken using black and white film and developed and printed in the Clinton High School darkroom. I loved the picture so much, I took a picture of it so I could have it as my background. I figured it makes my page a little more.. Me. After all, it is my artwork, and this page is dedicated to my artwork. So it works. The layout I changed because I wanted to make the viola more visible while scrolling. I figured by adjusting the layout of the page, it would work.

Something only...
An Absolutely Crazy Artist Would Do.
Cats... They love to leave you little presents. Even if it's something you DEFINITELY do not want. Like a dead bird for example. My cats decided to leave one half-eaten on our deck. Then, the weather was very icky, so my mother was unable to clean up the decomposing body. Finally, we had a day where it was clear enough to clean it up, although rain was on its way. It was also my last chance to take pictures!
I ran outside with my umbrella and camera. I took a couple pictures of the rotting corpse, barely able to stand the stench. I must be crazy... but that comes with being an artist. Although, some of the shots turned out to be quite...

The Icing On Top
A little while back a family friend got married. His wedding, though, was a little too far away for some of us to attend. So the group of us got together, and had a reception for them. A friend of mine was in charge of the cakes, and I had the responsibility of decorating. I also gave myself the side-job of being the artistic photographer. I quite enjoyed taking pictures of the beautiful flowers on top of the cake.
With a Bug on my Shoulder
It's a funny thing - being afraid of bugs. Even tiny little bugs that do no harm whatsoever. An even funnier thing is trying to get a friend to hold still while you're trying to take a picture of a bug that landed on her sleeve and she just wants to shoo it away.

Sunshine Bell
These photographs are of a flower in the gardens at the Biltmore Mansion in Asheville, North Carolina. The flowers were a drooping flower, the bell opening towards the ground
The first picture was taken from underneath, looking straight up at the flower. The second was taken at more of an angle, to capture more of the background with the flower.
Not Just an Artist, But a Model Too
Let me tell you a story...
Once upon a time, there were four girls driving around an area they didn't know very well. They stumbled upon both a hidden staircase and a small clearing. They decided to stop and take some pictures.
The first was taken at the hidden staircase. The pictures were quite spontaneous, the photographer taking pictures of the other girls just being silly. But in the end, a beautiful picture was created.
The second photograph was taken in the small clearing. Two of the girls were afraid to go into it - it was on a slope, and they were in heels. The photographer and the last girl went to look at it. The one girl walked out to look down the hill, grabbing a branch to keep from falling. Once again, a beautiful photograph was made.
The four girls had their fun, and then proceeded to return home. The memories would last forever though.
The End
Author's Notes: The four girls were: myself; my sister, Britni Mooney; and my two friends from Chicago, Amelie Bernard and Megan Calvert. Amelie Bernard was the photographer. In the first picture, Megan Calvert and I were the models. In the second picture, I am the model.
